Preparation
Preparation for the certification exam is essential. We recommend reviewing the exam content outline carefully and preparing accordingly. In addition, an understanding of what to expect on exam day may help the examination process move smoothly. The American College of Phlebology also publishes a list of references which may prove useful in preparing for the exam.
The American Board of Phlebology neither administers nor endorses review courses for ACPh examinations. The Board does provide a document about exam content and content weighting, but does not provide guidance to organizations offering review courses. Participation in review courses does not ensure successful completion of the certification exam.
To prepare for the computer-based exam, candidates can download a tutorial that shows how to navigate through the examination and includes a demonstration examination at: http://www.measurementresearch.com/testing/tutorial.shtml.
There are two parts to the tutorial. Part one demonstrates the basics of entering responses and reviewing items on the computer-based examination. Part two will allow the candidate to get the exact feel of taking an exam on the computer with a demonstration test. This demonstration test includes examples of multiple choice items, items with visuals, and items with visuals as exhibits
Neither the ABPh nor MRA offers technical support for the tutorial.
